sBryansGames Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hey all, I'm looking to build a sim pit for the upcoming release of Leatherneck Simulations F-14 module. I understand that getting hardware for an F-14 simpit would be difficult since most were destroyed to keep Iran from getting parts for their 30 or so aircraft. Anyone have any leads on hardware? Or know of anyone making recreations for sim purposes? Thanks Bryan *Social Media* twitch/sBryansGames [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Cobra847 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Many of the instruments in the F-14 cockpit are fairly standard gauges. You'll find these across the F-4, A-7, A-6 and other aircraft of the same era. It also shared gauges with several USAF aircraft. Grumman was smart (lazy :P) and also re-used a LOT of cockpit components for the A-6. Things like the gear handles, knobs & switches, and tons of other stuff are exactly the same as in the F-14. Good luck! Kludo Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 (edited) Most Tomcat instruments are fairly common with other Grumman products. Edit Guy above me already answered. Edited June 6, 2016 by Kludo Guy above me answered didnt see it. ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
