whiteside Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hi Guys, I just removed my DK2 and installed my CV1. It seems to work fine except in DCS. I am getting a gray screen in the RIFT and it says DCS is taking a long time and to check my app. In DCS on my monitor, I see the settings button and a corner of the startup screen. I can click it but then I cant see the options. What do you guys suggest? HELP!! I'm so close. :) i9-9900K 3.6(Running at 5.0 GHZ) 32GB Memory 2x M.2 drives Win 10 64bit RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra OCULUS RIFT CV1 VKB Gunfighter 2 extended/TM Pedals/TM Warthog throttles.
SkateZilla Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Are you up to date w/ DCS and the Oculus Runtimes? whiteside Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 Hi Skate, How do I check? Thanks Will i9-9900K 3.6(Running at 5.0 GHZ) 32GB Memory 2x M.2 drives Win 10 64bit RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra OCULUS RIFT CV1 VKB Gunfighter 2 extended/TM Pedals/TM Warthog throttles.
whiteside Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 I used to be able to see the Rift SW VER prior to release of the CV1. Ive been using the DK2 in conjunction with the Rift front end store software. I think it is 1.4? and it just updated itself I THINK! :) As far as the DCS Alpha, it hasnt asked me to update so I think It is up to date. There must be an easy way. I am using Win 7 64bit. i9-9900K 3.6(Running at 5.0 GHZ) 32GB Memory 2x M.2 drives Win 10 64bit RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra OCULUS RIFT CV1 VKB Gunfighter 2 extended/TM Pedals/TM Warthog throttles.
adrianstealth Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 (edited) Let me guess ....you've also recently updated to Windows 10 ? Edit : sorry false alarm I see your still on win7 Next : You have the the cv1 in the wrong HD slot As your using x2 gpu's The oculus home stuff will work well what ever slot you use Try another one + also try disabling one of gpu's then You'll be fine I guess you've enabled 3rd party apps in oculus home too Edited June 6, 2016 by adrianstealth
whiteside Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 Thanks Skate, changing hdmi worked fine. DCS 2.0 up and running. Flies great. I am not getting the debug tool to work though. I start Oculus software, run debug tool, put in 2 for pixel density and then start DCS. The Rift turns off. i9-9900K 3.6(Running at 5.0 GHZ) 32GB Memory 2x M.2 drives Win 10 64bit RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra OCULUS RIFT CV1 VKB Gunfighter 2 extended/TM Pedals/TM Warthog throttles.
adrianstealth Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Try pixel at lower rate first, then keep it running minimised Glad I could help
whiteside Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 So try setting at 1? i9-9900K 3.6(Running at 5.0 GHZ) 32GB Memory 2x M.2 drives Win 10 64bit RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra OCULUS RIFT CV1 VKB Gunfighter 2 extended/TM Pedals/TM Warthog throttles.
adrianstealth Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 1.3 is good for me 2 is fine for me to but I notice performance drop, I tried 5 and pc crashed lol Your duel gpu is causing you problems , consider selling x1 card and over clock the other
whiteside Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 Thanks you guys! That worked. I had to minimize it! WW Visual is slightly better than DK2. Frames maybe 10% faster on initial try. i9-9900K 3.6(Running at 5.0 GHZ) 32GB Memory 2x M.2 drives Win 10 64bit RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra OCULUS RIFT CV1 VKB Gunfighter 2 extended/TM Pedals/TM Warthog throttles.
