HELP!!! CV1: DSC taking a long time and wont start up in RIFT

Hi Guys, I just removed my DK2 and installed my CV1. It seems to work fine except in DCS. I am getting a gray screen in the RIFT and it says DCS is taking a long time and to check my app.

In DCS on my monitor, I see the settings button and a corner of the startup screen. I can click it but then I cant see the options.

What do you guys suggest? HELP!!

I'm so close.

I used to be able to see the Rift SW VER prior to release of the CV1. Ive been using the DK2 in conjunction with the Rift front end store software. I think it is 1.4? and it just updated itself I THINK! :) As far as the DCS Alpha, it hasnt asked me to update so I think It is up to date. There must be an easy way. I am using Win 7 64bit.

Let me guess ....you've also recently updated to Windows 10 ?

Edit : sorry false alarm I see your still on win7

Next :

You have the the cv1 in the wrong HD slot

As your using x2 gpu's

The oculus home stuff will work well what ever slot you use

Try another one + also try disabling one of gpu's then You'll be fine

I guess you've enabled 3rd party apps in oculus home too

Thanks Skate, changing hdmi worked fine. DCS 2.0 up and running. Flies great.

I am not getting the debug tool to work though. I start Oculus software, run debug tool, put in 2 for pixel density and then start DCS. The Rift turns off.

1.3 is good for me

2 is fine for me to but I notice performance drop, I tried 5 and pc crashed lol

Your duel gpu is causing you problems , consider selling x1 card and over clock the other

Thanks you guys!

That worked. I had to minimize it!

Visual is slightly better than DK2. Frames maybe 10% faster on initial try.

There is an Upper Limit to the GPU's Digital Rendering Resolutions before going to the VPU to be send through HDMI.

Maximum Digital Resolution for GM200/204 (TitanX/980Ti/980/970):

5120x3200 @ 60Hz @ 8-Bit or 9.83 Gbps Per Channel or 29.49 Gbps Total

Maximum Digital Resolution for GP100/104 (Tesla P100/GTX 1080/1070):

7680x4320 @ 60Hz @ 8Bit or 19.92 Gbps Per Channel or 59.72 Gbps Total

For Pixel Density Override, Dont Go Above 2.0 On Older GPU's:

1.5 = 3240 x 1800 @ 90Hz or 5.25 Gbps Per Channel or 15.75 Gbps Total

2.0 = 4320 x 2400 @ 90Hz or 9.33 Gbps Per Channel or 27.99 Gbps Total

2.1 = 4536 x 2520 @ 90Hz or 10.29 Gbps Per Channel or 33.86 Gbps Total

2.2 = 4752 x 2640 @ 90Hz or 11.29 Gbps Per Channel or 33.87 GBps Total

2.5 = 5400 x 3000 @ 90Hz or 14.58 Gbps Per Channel or 43.74 Gbps Total

2.7 = 5832 x 3240 @ 90Hz or 17.01 Gbps Per Channel or 51.02 Gbps Total

2.8 = 6048 x 3360 @ 90Hz or 18.29 Gbps Per Channel or 54.87 Gbps Total

2.9 = 6264 x 3480 @ 90Hz or 19.62 Gbps Per Channel or 58.86 Gbps Total
