Btw, wanting a dedicated server file and turbulances ON online serve the whole community.. Everybody.

We should get together and really sign a petition about it. They have to listen they should and don't forget the new sim is on the corner coming out.

What are you talking about?

Oh.. and btw.. online petitions don't work.

No, they don't have to listen. They have been paid for a specific product already and they are producing it - at least, this is my intepretation of how games are made.

It doesn't mean they /won't/ listen, but they certainly don't have to.

Personally, I don' care much about turbulence: I want better system and missile modelling. Turbulence means nothing to be in an air to air fight ;)

Turbulences is everything air to air fight, mostly when you want to feel the closest to a real flight for a simulator. And i know i'm right btw. ;)

Turbulences can always set to 0 for some of you who want to play and set to a higher number for the hardcore, to have the choice is what make thing great.

Btw: A team tester should worry about this and mention it to the dev because it is a priority for a flight sim.

It is not a question of arguying this but it should be .

Actually yes, it is a question for arguing ... as I said, everyone has their own little pet peeve when it comes to what should be simulated.

But that doesn't mean the devs won't hear about it - in fact the devs already know. As I /said/ it appears they have made a conscious decision not to bother with two different turbulence models since they will be moving away from the SFM.

theGozr, has a good point.

I actually support the idea that weather should be very important part of every flight simulator.

Earth's atmosphere is the most important, I mean the 1st and last enviroment we're dealing with as pilots, and should be modeled as best as possible.

I don't expect Eagle Dynamics will create weather engine as complex as f.e. MS Flight Simulator 2004 has, but they should at least improve a bit what we already have.

Well, if we did have dynamic weather and appropriate effects modelling on systems as well, that would be quite dandy, not to mention, wind shears and airmass flow around and over mountains with appropriate effects :)

No arguing here the sim need turbulences , Tharos try and test it go fly a mission and had some turbulences to lets say low level a good 2/ms and 2000 1/ms and some little wind 6 to 9 ms side wind for example it's not much but..much more real that none at all Online, test it and repport what you felt.

Thank you,

We are dealing with jets planes that goes well above 800 Km/h teh turbulences at those speeds are very important and make you feel the world around you like in Real life, Set at 2 it make you feel the frictions for example and realy add a lots to ANY experience.

If this can and "is" on the Offline experience it can be made on Online.

We are not asking all that much just to open the portal for turbulences to be felt Online.

I've flown with turbulence, and I've been on jets with plenty of turbulence for real. Makes little difference to me, and it makes little difference in LOMAC since about the only thing the tubulence does for you is a regular oscillation of the cockpit image - yes, the aircraft moves a little too, but not a whole lot, and as far as I know there's no real effect on your flight.

So if that effect is what you consider realistic, just press Shift-J while in the cockpit.

And yes, you are asking for 'all that much'. This isn't a simple matter.

SO no it's a lot to ask then..

I've flown Jets and props ww2 fighters and it make a huge difference on the experience it is a shame that you speak that way.

It's not about you Tharos stay focus and calm.

I'm telling you this as someone with a lots of experiences on that matter, Just say that you will comunicate this if you can or give me an email and say thank you for your advice. Than i will say " np Thank you to look out for the community"

And I agree with you, but you're missing the real issue: ED (from what I can see) doesn't want to invest time in shoring up old code, so turbulence will be only for AFM aircraft.

As for email, there's no need: You could PM Chizh or Olgerd here on the forum, and I think they will happily listen to you and PM you back.

Thank you Tharos to look out for the community.. ;)

When you think that there are only 2 planes ( ground pounder ) that can have this online it's not very well orchestred. IMO and leave all the rest of the fighters to toy with.

Eventually all aircraft will be AFM and so all aircraft will have turbulence.

I decided to bump this old thread since now time passed. since November-2006

So now that we do have more AFM aircraft and more coming soon what about the subject?

Do we have this very.. very important online turbulence under 1.2.7 update?

Well,

hovering with a Heli behind a Su that goes FULL-AB for take off doesn't even shake the Heli an inch so I can only assume it's not present.

Also, when watching others in F2 view you can clearly tell it's not implemented or some Pilots would have severe jet wash problems when flying too close behind each other when doing AAR, with the intake/nose right at the others exhaust.

Try it yourself
