Map Size Comparison?

Hi there, I know this question has been asked many times, but I keep reading around very different numbers.

 

I would like to buy this map with flash sales, but before that I wish to know how big it is actually. Can anyone help me proving numbers or share their experience? Thank you

At the moment: 465 NM x 415NM but only around the airfields and cities you have 3D objectives and high to medium ground textures

DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Range Map Update

 

We continue working on improvements to the Nevada map that includes fixing bugs and implementing new features. The following will be available in the coming months:

 

- Add Tonopah Air Force Base

- Add additional casino/hotels to the Las Vegas strip

- Add additional airfields and landing strips to the central (detailed) portion of the map

- Add the National Training Center (NTC)

- Improved grass and ground clutter

- Other smaller improvements

 

When these additional features are added and the module is final, the cost of the map will likely increase. However, these new features will be free to those that already own the map.

Searching on Goggle I read it is 366km (I assume the detailed portion), to 600km in its biggest dimension.

 

Anyways thank you, I will consider this map before flash sales end. Still deciding about this map or a new module :D

Flying one of the routes around the NTTR I have often burned through a good portion of my fuel. Often the routes will last an hour+. The map may be smallish in dimensions, but it is large in scope of what can be accomplished within its borders.

I have the map and whilst it is very good, I would go for another module if I were you right now - just for the fact that there isn't a huge amount to do in NTTR at the moment and from my experience and what I've heard, there are some problems with the mission editor, too (or the AI behavior through the mission editor).

 

Maybe get the NTTR map in a future sale if you find it too much - although using bonus points often equals most sale prices, anyway.

True. In fact I am omgpanicking for this map or the F-5 Which is discounted and grants bonus points. But only 2 sidewinders for a fighter...

A very nice mission template was build from Stuka (from the 476th.) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=154593

but it is primary for air to ground warfare - not for Red Flag!
