Hi

Just downloaded the P-51D and compared to my normal A-10C I'm funding it much harder to control which I suppose is accurate.

So my questions are in 2 parts

Literally with no changes to inputs in my axis settings I am finding the plane wants to roll to the right. I am also finding it quite unstable when pushing the throttles forward. So any recommended settings for the HOTAS? such as buttons and curves etc. I have mapped the Trim controls to the Trim on the HOTAS and the Gunsight Wingspan and Range controls.

Also general hints would be appreciated.

Thank you

Due to torque and assymetric airflow behind propeller, the prop birds will always roll and yaw by themselves, with exception of a very narrow speed and RPM range for cruise flight.

Be happy that Mustang is the only DCS warbird which actually has trims for all three control axes, so You can dial these tendencies out somewhat. It's the easiest one to fly of all three! Forget about flying hands free for prolonged periods of time, though.

I use unmodded Warthog as well, and I'm happy with 25% curves all around, though obviously it's a very subjective matter.

Don't forget to un-assign roll and pitch inputs from the mini-mouse on Your throttle (what kind of an idiot programmed these?), as it might cause some unwanted inputs in the least comfortable situation :D (been there, done that).

I personally fly without curves on any of the dcs airframes and I think everyone with a warthog could fly without curves If they get an extension for their stick. The stick it's performance really increases a lot precision wise.
