NOTE - limited to 5 figure altitudes, have yet to test what the actual number 10000 is in feet, if its ten thousand or one hundred thousand

Entering ALT for a custom WP on the PCN, took a bit of guessing, here's how it looks:

1. Create a waypoint at 01 as per manual (or another WP no.)

2. Press PREP 01

3. Select ALT

4. Press 1 to edit left parameter (feet)

5. INS starts flashing - five dashes appear

Now we go off piste... needs to be confirmed and added to manual or changed as required.

Lets say you want to enter 2616 as an altitude. you need to do this:

6. Press 1 again. The red digit increments to 01. Keypad 1 or 7 seem to work again.

7. Press leading zero as we need 5 digits

8. 2-6-1-6

9. Press INS and the leading zero goes and its accepted.

This is primarily different to the manual in that you only need to press 1 or 7 when entering a LL coord on the L/G page ONCE to start inputting, minding that the first entry is N or S and looks silent. Here we need to do it twice.

Yet to try messing with airfields and so on...

The red digit is a development tool, it shouldn't be there so it is a bug.

At this time the red digit just indicates the number of values entered, but other times it tells a different information.

Do not rely on it for any type of confirmation.

To enter altitudes:

1. Select the Parameter in the PCN

2. Select 1 or 7 if you want to enter feet, or select 3 or 9 if you want to enter meters.

3. The selected LCD will display the dashed and it also will display both + and -.

4. First you must enter if the altitude is positive (above sea level) or negative (below sea level*). So click 1 or 3 for positive othewise click 7 or 9 for negative values.

5. Now you can enter the altitude value. Include as many leading zeros as you need to fill all the dashes. The limits of the altitude values are shown in the manual: ± 25,000 feet or ± 7,620 meters (they are equivalents).

6. Click on INS to save the value.

*: Yes, there are certain areas in planet Earth were you can fly below the sea level. If I recall correctly there are a couple of valleys in Israel where you can accomplish that.

How can we change the Aircraft Position(WP00) Altitude? seems I can't.

It is explained in the manual.

It looks like even in VEI. mode we cant change WP00 altitude. I can edit the data but when I click on INSERT the value come back to default one (which is altitude at standard QNH by default). Only way to change it is by the atmospheric pressure rotary knob on the altimeter.

That will change in the next update.
