Rhen Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Ok, here's the deal. The monitor I use has a 1.6 aspect ratio. I've edited the graphics.cfg file to reflect this instead of the default 1.333333373 - whatever. But lots of times - so many times it's annoying, since it happens even when I exit a server's game to look at the debrief and reenter (not just when I shut down LOMAC and restart) - the aspect changes back to 1.3. I'm sure I just have to live with it, but has there been any fix to this, or workaround with one of the graphics tweaking programs for LOMAC? I'm thinking of writing a .BAT file that takes a saved copy and renames it every time I start LOMAC, but that won't solve the problem from happening in the same game instance. Any ideas? :helpsmilie:
Nate--IRL-- Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Only seems to change mine if i go into the settings menu in lomac. And yes you will have to live with it, Sorry Nate 1 Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Rhen Posted September 10, 2006 Author Posted September 10, 2006 Hmm, all I have to do is read the debrief, or exit LOMAC and then reenter. I've not gone into the settings menu for a while, but this still happens. Damn, it's mighty annoying... but that's LOMAC for ya!
Guest IguanaKing Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Are you guys using the same resolution on your desktop as you do in the game? Just wondering, because that's what I do and I haven't had any aspect change problems yet.
britgliderpilot Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 If I recall correctly, there was a bug that changed unusual aspect ratios back to "normal" after flying the Su33. Have a look - is that what's causing this one? Not sure whether it was solved. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
GregP Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Rhen - this is a known bug and I believe one of the devs commented a few months back that 1.2 (Black Shark) is going to fix it. Until then, I've added a shortcut to graphics.cfg on my desktop, and whenever I enter the Options screen in LockOn (this is what is causing it to revert back to 1.3333), I then exit out and change the aspect ratio back to 1.6 before going flying again. 2
kam Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Couldnt you just make the file read-only? GregP Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I've tried that and it doesn't work! :( I think LockOn is referencing a default graphics file and making changes to your customized file when it deems it necessary. I still don't understand how it overwrites a read-only file, but it does. At least it's been promised to be fixed in 1.2 though.
