nscode Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 .... this 29 crash video: Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
Force_Feedback Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 'Kapapultaj' means eject  I have the 21mb version, and was surprised that even those old K-36 had a quite fast sequence. According to some propaganda from an American ACESII lover the delay was always 3 seconds, even at slow speeds :P Ok, the aces2 fires the headrest after 0.2 seconds in the rocket phase (while the rocat is still burning), but the vanilla, old K-36 fires the headrest 0.65 seconds after the rocket has burned out, as confirmed by this video. Also, the newer K-36D 3.5 has a 0.45 rocket burn time, opposed to the 0.35 burn of the series 2 K-36, giving it better high sinkrate performance. The K-36 3.5 fires the headrest 0.15 seconds after the end of the rocket phase. But since it has a dual thrust rocket, that may vary. It has a low impulse mode for slow high relative altitude ejections, and a high impulse mode for low and slow/high sinkrate, well, you know, where time and height matters. And if the pilot happens to eject upside down, the rocket won't fire at all, all catapult and immediate headrest launch, to prevent the pilot's head scraping the ground ;) Yet, those old seats (like from that Su-33 cable snap) have something special, like the MB GRU-7 from the F-14A/B/Prowler, it had something cool about it, can't place it, but it looks awesome. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
