BVR is an utopia in DCS. usually 120s have a range of 10NM head on and maybe 3NM on a cold target that wants to defend. But as I've said its quite hard to convince ED on missile performance so...get that cannon ready.

 

But now is an utopia to hit someone with a russian missle .. if they know is comming.

 

I tried all IR missles in less than 2 KM and not a single hit agains an A-10.

 

 

The only guys I did hit is when they did not know the missle was comming ans they where flying straight and level and head on into the missle.

Are you guys sure it's just the missiles?

To me looks like that values like notch and idle on engine are boosted. Ex I was fighting some f-5s, on the vertical and closing on their six, fox2 would miss almost every time cause the adversary would go idle while on the top off the climb. The missile made a quick bracket outside the plane and overshoot..all other times even with a defending adv I would hit. All these against AI.

It is not as easy as just changing a title, we actually have to look into the issue, find evidence / reproduce the issue and report with all of the information for the Devs.

 

So dont think us not changing the title of a thread is an indication of us not looking into it.

Can confirm something is wrong.

I was just in blueflag right now against an F15, well into good shot parameters. All my R73s got defeated, all R27R and Ts. And i wasn't shooting from R-Max. In fact i was probably 2 or 3 km away.

I was playing on MP yesterday and almost all my R-73s and R27ERs except my last R-73 missed from optimal ranges where I usually hit everytime, all the ER's kept it's lock throughout the whole flight and just flew right by the enemy target when he made weak manuevers to defeat the missile. It seems most missiles are generally pretty broken right now.

 

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the new netcode. Possibly that your client/plane/missiles ect thinks the target is at one spot, and the missile goes towards the spot that you see, but from the servers or clients perspective he is in a different spot than what your missile is guiding towards.

 

I have no idea how the new netcode works though so this is just me speculating. :)
