Ardillita Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 For any new guys to lock on that may be reading this, the guys here who are suggesting not to leave your ECM on are all experienced lomacers, Pilotasso, SVK_Fox, Cali; very good and very experienced. The hot tip from all of us with a fair bit of time up is to leave your jammers off for the most part. Jammers have their uses, but leaving them on not only broadcastes "I'm a noob and I'm over here" to us lomac "sharks", but it is really not an effective way to avoid detection or defeat attack. Turning your jammers on all the time is essentially ringing the dinner bell for the more experienced guys...and it's bloody annoying! Additionally I'd suggest you at least do the 5 training missions that come with the sim for the particular a/c you wish to fly. Without the knowledge aquired in those tutorials you will probably end up getting very frustrated online. It will only take 1-2hours. Other than that, it's good to see some fresh meat in the servers! Welcome! Well, agree, but... remember that in 1.12a, the training missions don´t work (almost all of them)
Pilotasso Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 jammers on all the time usualy hurts your own team, and prompts FF by HOJ not to mention that it will atract AMRAAM's ans R-77's like flies to honey even if those were not the original targets. .
Ardillita Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 The F-15 will track your jammer silently, without transmitting. In fact, YOU might be the one who doesn't even know its there. Sorry, too much temptation. As I said in another post "as a tester, you seem to be very bad informed..." Withouit transmitting?????? You can shoot in hoj, and the target for sure won´t have a launch warning, but... and your radar? for sure will be trasmiting, at least 1 second, if not, how do you know there is somebody out there? at least how do you see and ecm signal??? I hope you are not cheating jajajajajajajaja Are you sure you are flying FC?????
