Hi RAZBAM......is there a chance to add the Revison # on the front page of the Manual ?

That would be much easier to identify when something is change.....

Thanks !

Just check "date modified" when viewing the directory in explorer. The file only get's updated (and so the date updated) when something is changed in the manual. Last month when INS was still to be implemented. It stayed the same for a few DCS updates. Easy enough to look in the directory after a update and see if the field has changed.

Yes....you are right this could help. But I'don't want to use the Windows File System feature to check the Revision Status of the Manual.

It's a normal procedure for all documents and software to identify the corrent version....so a short number on the front page and everybody can simply check.....

That brings up another possible addition. Change bars along the side of updated paragraphs and lines would bring attention to the differences since the previous revision. That way, if something has been changed we wouldn't have to skim the entire manual looking for something that is different than how we initially learned it, it would stand out.

Just a suggestion.
