Helios Issues with the latest update

Helios (using Capt Z's latest export file) seems to work fine in single player for the A10-c [Loz profile}. However, when I try to play in multiplayer, Helios will not respond. I have checked the export file and the init files and they are ok.

 

Has anyone else had this problem?

 

The integrity checker was off.

 

Update: The server adm had prohibited export mods. Now all is well.

Hello Sobe,

 

I am not a programmer, and Have been trying to get Helios up and running. Could you throw some tips my way? I can get Profiles up on my touchscreen, but getting them to connect to the sim and sync is proving to be an issue. Help would be great!

Well I thought that guide was going to be helpful! Unfortunately, I still have no connection to the sim. I set the path to DCS in the editor. I copied the Lua file over to Saved Games, started the sim, no sync up. I haven't got to the configuration of my viewports yet, because I can't even get the engine instruments to go active. I only have 2.0 Alpha, and 1.5 Beta installed. Not sure if that matters? Very frustrated at this point. I will try to pick up on this again tomorrow. Going to go watch some T.V. now.

 

P.S. If I ever get this working, is it possible to use the BMS F-16 profile in DCS in conjunction with one of the Flyable F-16 mods, and F-15 instruments?

I will help you with getting Helios to work. Please do the following:

1. Delete everything you have done with respect to Helios and any profiles so that we can start from scratch.

 

2. Reinstall Helios but do not run it.

 

3. Set up your touch screen per Helios instructions.

 

4. Either use the Loz 2.1 profile for the A10-c or one of Capt Z's profiles and put it in your helios directory per instructions.

 

5. Download the latest Export lua file from Capt Z's site but do not install it yet.

 

6. When you have done the above let me know and I will send you the password to the TAW Teamspeak server so that we can talk through the next step.

 

7. What are the size monitors that you will be using and which one is the touchscreen? Will they be side to side or one on top of the other? I have mine on top of each other but I have windows and helios configured as side by side.
