Braeden108 Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I picked up a Sparkfun Pro-micro, I followed the listed steps in the tutorial but when I try to upload my settings to the board it claims that "configurator version does not meet the firm ware version" I hope someone out there has an idea. Sokol1_br Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) JoySetup (configurator) and firmware need be from same revision or this error happen. The last stable versions are in this file (20151118 ): https://sites.google.com/site/mmjoyproject/fajly-dla-skacivania/MMJOY2%5Bv20151118%5D.rar?attredirects=0&d=1 Good topic about MMJoy2 - firmware author follow then and help people: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3899105/1 BTW - I already write MMjoy2 firmware in 4 boards: old MJoy8, Mjoy16 (ATMEGA8, no longer supported in lastest firmware), Arduino PRO Micro (clone) and (Sparkfun) Teensy 2.0, both with ATMEGA32u4. Braeden108 Posted July 21, 2016 Author Posted July 21, 2016 BTW - I already write MMjoy2 firmware in 4 boards: old MJoy8, Mjoy16 (ATMEGA8, no longer supported in lastest firmware), Arduino PRO Micro (clone) and (Sparkfun) Teensy 2.0, both with ATMEGA32u4. So I can't use the latest release of mmjoy2 on a genuine spark fun promicro? I have to use an earlier version of mmjoy2 or do I have to use mjoy8 or 16? And thank you so much for creating this software. Great that I can talk to the creators of things so easily. Light the tires kick the fires! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Sokol1_br Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Is not this, forget this Mjoy8/16, I mention just as example. What I want say is the latest firmware version (20151118 ) is for boards with ATMEGA32u4, as is Arduino PRO Micro, Teensy 2.0 and ++2.0 and others. Your Sparkfun PRO Micro should work OK. Just check if MMjoy2 Setup and firmware dates match: upload photos
Braeden108 Posted July 23, 2016 Author Posted July 23, 2016 I think my problem here is that I made the mistake of buying a 3.3v 8mhz chip. Not the 5.5 v 16mhz chip. I think the hex I uploaded was meant for the 5.5v18 mhz chip. Because the versions of the hex I uploaded and my configurator did match. Light the tires kick the fires! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
