scaling issues?

First, I've noticed that elements/details of the aircraft models seem too smallish in F1 view compared to the real aircraft.

 

Second, so far I've tried the F-15 and Su-27 and they appear too low to the ground in F1 view when parked. This is especially obvious when looking at the wings and how long they appear relative to the ramp.

 

My qualification for saying so is having sat in an actual F-15A. The biggest impression was how I felt like I was sitting on a rather tall tower. The view was outstanding
