Beeroshima Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I had helios set up and functioning before. I got a new 65" and set it as my primary and try to export the overlay to the 2nd monitor. I reset the monitors per the usual function when you change resolution and it will allow me to start the profile. It says "Running Profile" as it always does, but the profile doesn't appear on the 2nd monitor. FWIW, i was using a triple monitor setup before with a 4th monitor centered and below the triple. Now, I'm running the 65 inch tv on top of the 2nd monitor below and when it says "profile Running", nothing shows up. Thoughts?
slicker55 Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Did you remember to change the settings in DCS to reflect your new screen resolution i7-5820K 3.30Ghz | Asus X99-S | Sapphire R290X | R7 240 | 16GB DDR4 PC4 2800MHz | Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD (OS) | Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD (DCS) | Noctua NH-D14 2011 Cooler | OCZ ZT 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular PSU | NZXT Phantom Enthusiast | 3 x IIyama Prolite E2473HDS 24" | 1 x Dell S2240T 21.5" Touch Screen | Windows 10 64-Bit | AMD Eyefinity 5760 x 1080 | TrackIR5 | TM Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind 1771 | Vaicom Pro + VA (Licensed) | Sennheiser Game Zero | Honeycomb Yoke (June 2020)]
Beeroshima Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 The issue wasn't in dcs. I couldn't even get helios to display before dcs was opened. A few restarts solved the issue though. Sent while I should be working instead.
slicker55 Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Brilliant - glad you got it sorted i7-5820K 3.30Ghz | Asus X99-S | Sapphire R290X | R7 240 | 16GB DDR4 PC4 2800MHz | Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD (OS) | Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD (DCS) | Noctua NH-D14 2011 Cooler | OCZ ZT 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular PSU | NZXT Phantom Enthusiast | 3 x IIyama Prolite E2473HDS 24" | 1 x Dell S2240T 21.5" Touch Screen | Windows 10 64-Bit | AMD Eyefinity 5760 x 1080 | TrackIR5 | TM Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind 1771 | Vaicom Pro + VA (Licensed) | Sennheiser Game Zero | Honeycomb Yoke (June 2020)]
Beeroshima Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 Well, now it's screwed up again. I'm not sure what the issue is, but sometimes it will show up and sometimes the overlay won't. I've no idea why or what makes it break.
slicker55 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Sounds like this could be a bad connection somewhere. I recently fixed a very similar issue which in the end turned out to be a faulty monitor cable. Just an idea, but it might be worth you giving this a try - move the cable connections in and out of the ports a few times - don't forget to do the ports on the monitors as well - this may clear a poor connection. Either swop the cables around (assuming the connection types are the same) or if not, replace the cables with new ones. Fingers crossed! i7-5820K 3.30Ghz | Asus X99-S | Sapphire R290X | R7 240 | 16GB DDR4 PC4 2800MHz | Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD (OS) | Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD (DCS) | Noctua NH-D14 2011 Cooler | OCZ ZT 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular PSU | NZXT Phantom Enthusiast | 3 x IIyama Prolite E2473HDS 24" | 1 x Dell S2240T 21.5" Touch Screen | Windows 10 64-Bit | AMD Eyefinity 5760 x 1080 | TrackIR5 | TM Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind 1771 | Vaicom Pro + VA (Licensed) | Sennheiser Game Zero | Honeycomb Yoke (June 2020)]
Beeroshima Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 I believe I have solved this issue. I right clicked on the desktop and then on the display settings. I moved the "change the size of all items" slider all the way to the left, which made the font and size on both of my monitors the same. Now, Helios doesn't seem to be scaling the size of the display and bugging it out. It's working, even after resets and changing primary monitors so far.

Beeroshima Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 Good so far. I've tested with turning off monitors, restarting, switching primary monitors and a few other things. Still working fine as of right now. Sent while I should be working instead.
