Problems lasing objetives with the Reaper

Hi, I wanted to create a mission where a Reaper laser an objective for a Mirage 2000. I put a T-55 and the Reaper orbiting 2000m height and 60m offset, then add advanced waypoint action, and in the options:

 

Type: Start Enroute task

Action: FAC – Engage Group

Group: T-55

Visible: unmarked (what does it mean?)

Weapon: Guided bombs

Priority: 0 (what does it mean?)

Designation: Here is the problem, the laser option has the message(problem: no LOS,D>10 km)

 

When I want to test the mission the JTAC answers the target request but never laser it.

Visible: unmarked (what does it mean?)

Allows the AI to magically "see" the unit even if it actually hasn't yet.

 

Priority: 0 (what does it mean?)

Sets the priority of the task, where lower numbers means a higher priority. If you set it to e.g. priority 2, and had other tasks with a priority of 0 or 1, they could "pre-empt" this task and be run instead, assuming the conditions they need are met.

 

Designation: Here is the problem, the laser option has the message(problem: no LOS,D>10 km)

Sounds like the laser marking requires the distance to be less than 10 km, and/or it thinks the unit doesn't have line of sight. Though from your description of the setup it should be plenty close enough. Could be a bug.

 

Have you tried with different unit types?

Hi Nomdeplume, thanks for the answer. I tried with the Reaper and the Predator, and had the same problem. But it worked with the HUMVEE with TOW.

Although I have to admit I never tried the autolase feature with AFACs.
