Knock-Knock Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Am I correct, when saying we have no launch warnings at all? I hear when I get locked up, but thats about it. I dont hear - I think? - anything when they send missiles after me. Which ever type it might be. AIM-120's, R27ER, ET (I know this one is infrared), you name it. How do you guys counter this atm? Just start dodging and diving, and popping flares and chaff, when you get locked up, at what you know might be within their striking distance? Cause I tend to just fly straight into the missiles, and end up with a 'where did that come from' look on my face, continuously and naively awaiting that certain tone from the RWR :music_whistling:. - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
Banjo Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 A while back there was a post where someone was testing the warnings for the RWR - http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169673&highlight=rwr Basically there is a warning for active missiles (M) though the only current warning for semi-active missiles seems to be that the circle disappears from the target that is locking you up when he launches.
gavagai Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Yes, you get zero warning for Fox-1 inbound. We're waiting, expectantly, to get it.
