DBO Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I'd love to replay some of the missions I've flown (e.g. especially using exterior views), but every track replay I've doe so far in VR has been rubbish. Most times the aircraft simply crashes but guns etc keep firing. I know track replay has been broken before, but does anyone have any tips on how to get a good replay of a mission that still gives you switchable camera views etc whilst in VR? i7-6900K, 32GB G.Skill Trident Z 3200, G1 GTX 1080, Samsung 950 PRO 512GB, SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2TB, Corsair H115i, Saitek X55, MFG Crosswind pedals, X34 Predator, & a Vive
Milopapa Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I've been struggling with the same issue. Saving a track is hit-and-miss. There is a low chance it will work. I have 2-3 working ones saved that I use for demoing VR. Others, I end up crashing in a few minutes like I wasn't holding the stick anymore. Thisdale Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Most work. I twitch them later. Others, after a while, simply fail at some point. My latest is a refueling practice. After leaving the tanker, my Hawg just goes down and crash... Its really hit and miss i suppose. http://www.youtube.com/konotani Computer Specs: Z97X-gaming Mobo 4670k i5 24G DDR3 GTX 1080 Asus PG278Q Rog Swift 27-INCH G-SYNC Valve Index Thrustmaster Warthog Fanatec Clubsport Pedals (used as Rudders) Thrustmaster T300 Arcantera Wheel Obutto R3volution rig
Pheonix0869 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I find that immediately saving the replay, then returning to the main menu before playing the track helps... then I replay the track WITHOUT time acceleration or changing the views, and save that replay... then with the new track I find I have much less trouble, but changing the view often or quickly, and time acceleration seem to degrade the probability of a successful replay. There are also times when a track just can't be saved... I also find success rate varies with air frame. If there is dynamic weather forget it!
