Bluemalice Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) I've been through everything I can think of trying to figure this out. I've downloaded pre-made missions from other people, run default missions from the game and even made my own from scratch. If there is a Huey in an online/multiplayer match that I host, it flat out just doesn't function. Everything you previously had bound to the Huey controls in single player resets to default and none of the hotkeys even work. You also get all these popups on the screen like a giant orange radar looking thing in the top right of the screen as well as a weird little rectangle box in the bottom of the screen. Unpausing and then hitting the hotkey to close the doors, for example, does nothing. Even re-binding everything is useless. What am I doing wrong? We just want to toss some Hueys into a few multiplayer missions... Thanks for your time, Wes Edited September 12, 2016 by BIGNEWY TITLE

Bluemalice Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 Thanks. I am a new user to DCS for the most part so take that as you will. I saw "game" in the keybinds but otherwise, I have no idea what Game Mode is and how to tell if I have it set this way or not. It's weird because every other chopper I place works perfectly fine. How do I check to see if it's in Game Mode and how do I change that?
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 12, 2016 ED Team Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) ok Game in keybindings refers to the controls for game mode in the settings of dcs, this is a simplified experience. if you are not using game mode in the settings you should map your controls in "sim" otherwise you will not have control Edited September 12, 2016 by BIGNEWY 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Bluemalice Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure that's not the issue but I'm going to go and double check all of that and make sure before I say anything else about it. Will respond again shortly. *Edit That was it exactly... I went into the game options and set it to "simulation" mode for everything and suddenly it works again. It's really weird because it was working in multiplayer before and just changed itself somehow I guess. I never thought to check that because both Game and Simulation keybinds were non-functional at all in multiplayer. Does having it in "game" mode just make the Huey not function at all in multiplayer? Thanks again for the help. This was driving me insane lol... Wes Edited September 12, 2016 by Bluemalice 1
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 12, 2016 ED Team Posted September 12, 2016 generally most servers do not allow game mode, simulation mode is enforced. and no problem enjoy :) Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
