Cebo Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I have noticed my guns in the F-5 sound differently to the guns of the most F-5 clips I have watched on youtube. On most of the youtube clips you can clearly hear the rotational movement of the revolver canon. In “my F-5” the guns sound more like these from the F-86 for P-51D. Doing some researches I found two clips with a different cannon sound, at least in my ears;) Example how my guns sound like: Example for rotational sound: Isn’t this clearly a different sound or is it just me?
Datek Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Huge difference- maybe Ralfi has some modified guns? Gun sounds definitley need some work. I don't have the F-5 yet, but the machine gun sounds on most/all of the planes are sad.
Cebo Posted September 23, 2016 Author Posted September 23, 2016 Nope, he has not any mod, see the comments on his video. And actually on external view(F2) my guns sound like his guns as well, only on the cockpit view I get this weird WW2 style gun sound
Saltat_cum_mortem Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 The first time I saw ralfi's video I thought the guns sounded too much like a Vulcan. Maybe I'm wrong (it wouldn't be the first time), but it occurs to me that the first video has the correct sound. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Art-J Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Don't own the module yet, but the difference is obvious. Maybe the in-cockpit cannon sample has been changed recently, as happened in MiG-21 for example. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Cebo Posted September 26, 2016 Author Posted September 26, 2016 They must have changed the sample, earlier videos have the Vulcan like in-cockpit sound, newer video have the more WW2 style sound. Would be very interesting how the two samples compare to the real in-cockpit sound of firing the guns. Unfortunately I could not find any in-cockpit footage firing the guns but that's how they sound from outside: The entire video is definitely worth 13 minutes of your time:)
