ACS Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Hello, Lockon 1.12a read randomly functions "buttons #33 & #34" (used by the small wheel on the throttle) as they were activated (without touching the wheel at all) ?!? For example, if you try to change some X-52 buttons assignment in Lockon setup, it is a real nightmare, because most of the time, it will read #33 or #34 as soon as the small assigment window open and before you have the time to press on the button you want. Luckily, sometime the little window remain stable a bit more longer, so I can finally do the assignement. This occur also during simulation. I have assigned #33 & #34 on the airbrake in/out, and I can see the airbrake working crasy when flying. I suspected first that maybe my brand new X-52 was defective, but on the Windows Joystick Properties test window, this wheel (#32, #33, #34) work perfectly, without these parasital "on" states ?!? So I don't know what to think now. Does anyone has the same behavior ? Can this problem be solved ? Thanks in forward for any clues and help. Best Regards, Alain Capt ACSoft Productions
SuperKungFu Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 yea the X-52 cannot be mapped in the option menu of Lock On, well you can but you have to press the button really fast otherwise it will turn into button 33 or 34 which is the wheel function. You MUST create a profile using the SST program. This is a lot better than trying to map out the keys in the option menu. This problem is very common, please refer to the search function. Disso Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 ahh..yess! I dealt with this problem too when I tried mapping my X52 for the first time within the LOMAC options. It would change itself automatically to Button 33 and 34, but I actually fought it for every button through. I would just click edit, and spam the button I wanted until it finally passed through. What you really need to do is create a profile from the SST program, and map it out of the game like that. I did it the way I did because it was just so much easier seeing what commands were for what and having a reference. SU-30MKI F/A-18F ...Beauty, grace, lethality.
ACS Posted October 2, 2006 Author Posted October 2, 2006 Thanks guys ! Now, I feel better. My joystick isn't defect and as you say both, time now to use SST to make a nice functions mapping ! Regards, ACS
