mwheeler
Hey guys hope you all are having a great day. I have been searching the forums, but I can't seem to find anything. Does anyone have a document or a link that outlines proper comms and procedures for the radio? I am working on my knowledge of the A-10C and am working with a new squadron. Just want to do some work on learning proper comms and meanings of different call outs. Also am hearing a lot of people calling out different numbers and such when in missions and want to learn about what they mean so I can understand and respond when in comms. Thanks! feefifofum
Another good place to start: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiservice_tactical_brevity_code Usually the numbers are just about understanding the context based on the other words; they're almost always a flight number, altitude, relative heading or relative distance. Trailer
AFTTP 3-1 Brevity Code Words. It changes every few years but overall they're the same...as long as the Navy doesn't get their hands on them. GET THAT DEEP AND WIDE CRAP OUTTA HERE! :D Brings back memories of my days as a GCI controller. Edited October 4, 2016 by Trailer
