Mirage 2000C rocket runs procedure?

How to actually do that correctly?

I have tried to find tutorials from YouTube and as there were none (other than couple old developer ones for testing the functionality) I read the Chucks Mirage 2000C guide (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=157056 Page 85.)

  1. On PPA, set firing mode to either PAR (fires single rocket salvo) or TOT (fires all rockets in pods).
  2. Set Master Arm switch to ARME (UP)
  3. Select RK3 (Rocket) on PCA
  4. Set Radar Altimeter Power switch to MARCHE
  5. Align rocket pipper on target at a dive angle of 20-25 degrees.
  6. When rocket pipper is aligned, press and hold WEAPON RELEASE button (SPACE by default).

And even with all that, I just can't get the rocket reticle as in every other video (where they are using rockets) or in that manual (the small circle) but I just get huge one with dot middle of it and range scale around it (that reticle doesn't even move in the HUD, so I am doing something wrong!)

And when ever I use it, the rockets fly somewhere between the reticle and total velocity vector symbol.

I have tried all kind angles, speeds, ranges etc and all rockets just lands way shorter than I can think.

So what do I miss / do wrong?

The small circle was a placeholder and was replaced by the big ccip circle a patch or two ago. Make sure to select TAS and/or RS on your PPA to get ranging information. TAS uses the radar and RS the radar atimeter so switch them on respectively. The reticule will start to move once you get in range.

Hope this helps!

Sorry but neither works. I do get the ranging information for the reticle, but reticle does not move anywhere. It is like caged, so I need to uncage it somehow.

All the rockets just drop to somewhere under. So I need to roughly estimate the rockets hitting points between VVI and the reticle, first by firing couple rockets to see is it at VVI or between those two and then just "spray and pray"

If embedded URl under doesn't work:

I thought they had fixed that in the last 2.0 patch, apparently not, it is the same as 1.5 and is known to be an error, so we need to continue waiting for a fix.

Okay, so a bug that makes Mirage 2000C temporarily incapable for CAS with rockets and cannon. Thanks!

For me the Guns / Rocket sight works just fine =P.

Have you guys tried using just RS? as i find it works better then TAS (or having both on).

None of the combinations works. The crosshair just doesn't move. The distance and altitude etc are calculated but firing solution doesn't get updated.

I have a slightly different problem to you, my rockets impact the ground exactly where the fixed CCIP sight points.

The problem is that even though i have followed the exact same preparation steps as you have i do not get any TAS/RS or any other indications on my radar screen like you do... mines totally blank ??

I have posted a question in the following thread on Page 3 and 4 but have not received an answer.

I have attached a photo of my cockpit where you can see my settings and can just see the rocket impact point.

Please can somebody confirm that AG is working exactly as per Zeus video.

Thanks for your reply jojo.

No the radar screen is definitely turned on as it works perfectly in the air to air mode, as soon as i press the TAS button my radar screen goes blank.

I export the VTB and RWR displays onto a second monitor which also goes blank, i suspect that the problem is something to do with my monitor export files.

I have used the same VTB.init.lua and monitor config files since the initial release and obviously more functionality has been added to the VTB rendering my export files obsolete when used in the AG mode.

This it seems is a self inflicted problem, when i get the time i'll look into it.

Just so there is no misunderstanding, the VTB screen is suosed to be black, if you have a TAS indication in the top right corner everything is fine (like in your screenshot, TAS is showing).

If the TAS indication is blinking your radar is not emitting, but you already get ranging info so I suppose it is working.

Hello Kobeshow.... If you look at the attached screen shot in post eight my VTB display is not only black but is totally blank with no indications whatsoever. It worked perfectly when used in the air to mode but would totally "black out" when used in the AG mode.

I uninstalled my original modified VTB.init.lua file which i have used since day one of the M2000C release for my exports via JSGME and tested. Sure enough i started getting the correct indications on the VTB display when switching to the AG mode.

I am now using the latest correct VTB.init.lua file for my exports and everything is working fine now, please see attached screen shot.
