Redglyph Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Is it just me or are the sounds much better with the 1.5.5 update? The volumes of the different sources have been reset so it might be the difference vs my previous settings, but it seems especially the landing and rolling sounds are much more realistic and immersive. For example, rolling with an F-5 or an A-10, or even better, deploying the drag chute with the F-5 is quite dramatic. Could also be module improvements, in any case I really like how they sound now! 1 System specs: Win7 x64 | CPU: i7-4770K | RAM: 16 GB | GPU: GTX 980 Ti 6 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS | MFG rudder pedals | SATA3 SSD | TrackIR
Phantom453 Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 I'm not sure if the sounds have been reworked at all, but you can now adjust audio levels in-game from the Esc menu (like you do for reassigning key bindings in-game). This change seems to have reset the different audio levels to the default (all high) and also turns off the "in helmet" effect. You just need to reset these setting to your desired levels.
Redglyph Posted November 5, 2016 Author Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) Yep, that's what I said... But even so, they do sound different. Maybe it's just an impression. EDIT: from the logs of the last update, there are new sounds related to landing among other things. That should explain it :) This update seems quite hefty. Dahlbeck Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 When I jumped into the A-10C a week ago, before 1.5.5 mind you, and I noticed a lot more sound from the wind...?
