NavyElk Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Hello all, I am thinking of getting back into flight sims. It has been years since I have played them, I am talking back as far as NovaLogic F22 Lightning 3, MS Combat Sims, MS Flight SIm and such. I am very interested in DCS but currently do not have a Stick. Has anyone used the *Newly released* Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS HOTAS Controller? If so how does it work with DCS? And any other flight sims? Thank you in advance for any replies.:pilotfly: NavyElk NavyElk :pilotfly: --- Intel i7 6700, 16GB DDR4, SSD, Nvidia GTX980, Windows 10
hansangb Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 I think the consensus is that it's an entry level system but should be fine for DCS use. It probably won't be plug and play like the Warthog stick (for A10 any way) but it's easy enough to map the buttons. Amazon review (12 of them so far) seems more positive than negative. hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1

Thanks Hansangb, Yes I have been watching Amazon on it and a few reviews on youtube, not a ton on it yet. Is there something that you would recommend in place of this in this price range? Warthog is 400.00 and would need pedals also at 100+ NavyElk :pilotfly: --- Intel i7 6700, 16GB DDR4, SSD, Nvidia GTX980, Windows 10
hansangb Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Unfortunately, there really isn't much in between. I like my Warthog, but I also realize that it's a big investment. hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1

lmp Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Currently I'm waiting for Amazon EU to send me my preordered TWCS throttle. I already own the previous iteration of the T.16000M and I can say that for the price it's a very solid stick. Ergonomy could be better and the buttons are a little wobbly, but the precision of the X and Y axes is excellent and all the pots on the other axes still work like new after a few years of use.

Imp, thank you for your feedback, and look forwad to hearing about the throttle after you receive it. NavyElk :pilotfly: --- Intel i7 6700, 16GB DDR4, SSD, Nvidia GTX980, Windows 10
