DieHard Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 I set the R-828 Radio to Channel 5 in the Ka-50; right-side rear console. On the Buddyspike Blue Flag server, Channel 5 is supposed to be 30 MHz FM, I am getting a frequency of 21.500 MHz FM . https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LYS-K2EBGBZ1RjD0UGUdOkAXJBGw3mmRQZ2cSsdbJao/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=343063148 What's going on? Please explain. Are the frequencies changeable in a .lua file somewhere? Something I have to change on my end? Thanks for any help. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
DieHard Posted November 20, 2016 Author Posted November 20, 2016 (edited) Found the answer : Ka-50 Flight Manual, page 6-74, item 4 (This procedure also works for the Mi-8 helicopter, it uses the same radio.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 6-48: R-828 control panel The R-828 control panel has the following functions: 1. Selected channel ID. The active radio channel selected via the channel selector wheel is displayed in this window. This can display 1 through 10. 2. “КАНАЛ” (Channel) selector. This red wheel can be rotated using left [RALT + RCTRL + M] and right [RALT + RCTRL + N] mouse clicks or keyboard input. The wheel cycles channels 1 through 10. 3. “ГРОМК” (Volume) radio volume control. Rotating this knob left [LCTRL + LSHIFT + ]] and right [LCTRL + LSHIFT + [] adjusts the volume level of audio received over the R-828 radio. 4. “АСУ” (Automatic tuner) button. After you have selected a channel, you will need to press the tuner button to tune the radio to the selected channel. Every time you select a new channel, you will need to press this button. [RCTRL + RSHIFT + T] 5. “НАСТР” (Tuner) automatic tuner indicator lamp. If the R-828 is under power and the automatic tuner button is pressed, this will light if the radio has not been tuned to the selected channel. 6. “ПШ” (Noise reduction system) switch (squelch). [RALT + RCTRL + R] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DIGITAL COMBAT SIMULATOR Ka-50 BLACK SHARK 2 Page # 6–75 Once the required channel is set and you have pressed the “АСУ” button, the system will tune to the selected channel’s frequency and the tuner indicator lamp will be lit. Once the tuning is complete, the lamp will turn off. DieHard Posted November 20, 2016 Author Posted November 20, 2016 (edited) The last 2 days been learning about and setting up the DCS-Simple Radio to play in game in Multplayer on the Buddyspike Blue Flag server. It works OK on my PC's internal server; I can hear myself talking through my microphone, listening either by speakers or headphones. His radio does not appear to be working in practice mode today on the MP server. When I connect I see other guys connected too on SR; but guys are communicating using TS3. Guess I will see how it goes in Blue Flag #10, hope SR will be functioning OK, then. Bet everybody else has already done this! I always seem to be the last guy to come to the party... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169387&highlight=Channel Edited November 20, 2016 by DieHard [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

It's a really good habit, because someone 10 years from now is going to find your posts. As long as you actually spend time speaking with others who share your flight interest online, then I don't think you'll be the last to the party anymore. Build those friendships!
