zerO_crash Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Fully aware of you having your plans and the time it takes with all fixed, but just curious if there is any hope of getting high altitude performance of the Mirage fixed in the near future. I`m sure you know the problems, but in case not: - Plane struggles climbing much above 50 000 feet, total chore. - No acceleration in early 5-10 degree climb above 40 000 feet. The performance of the engine seems to really lack here, not sure why, but it seems like a bug of sorts, considering the delta layout + fairly strong engine for the plane. - Canopy pressure light (I know we discussed this one) - Probably related to incomplete FM at high alt. but you need pretty high AOA even at M2,3 50 000 feet +. zerO_crash Posted November 30, 2016 Author Posted November 30, 2016 Hi Zero, yep reported and fixes ready to go (I need to check but I think I updated the pending updates post also) so the next patch should have a fix for it. Basically, the mass flow rate equations was screwed up so higher altitudes (lower air densities) saw an incorrect calculations for the mass flow into the inlet...no air no thrust :( Still need to tackle the Canopy pressure light issue. Awesome, much appreciated :thumbup::thumbup: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
