  1. Just a little update, which is off topic but I thought it may be worth sharing. I switched on the Experimental Mode of the latest OpenXR version and I got even better performance. My VR experience haven't been this smooth ever before, it is super comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you for the tips @Sr.
  2. So I tested, and I seem to have better performances for some reason and the PNVS feel a bit more stable but it could be even more stable if ED would implement some stabilization on the display for VR users, natively.
  3. Right, so that's the option, I'll try it out to see if it works. Thanks Sr.
  4. Yep that's the one, I don't have the option through the ingame menu. Weird. What headset are you using ?
  5. It appears I don't have this feature on the OpenXR version I run, which is the latest.
  6. Will definitely try it ! It would be great if it was native to DCS. I just switched to OpenXR. Thank you !
  7. If you guys see it by any chance... We'd love to get your feedback. @BIGNEWY @NineLine
  8. On my end, I did reset my Nvidia panel and Oculus Tray Tool settings and it fixed my issue. I'm also using a PD of 1.0 in game and 1.3 on Oculus Tray Tool. If that helps...
  9. Hey there, I wonder if there's something that could be done for this "issue" that seem to affect all VR users as far as I know. The PNVS through the monocle is extremely shaky as it tracks the users head micro-movements making it uncomfortable when used. I know couple VR games such as Onward which smoothen PiP while DCS VR seems to track "raw" inputs from your head. I haven't got the chance to wear an actual IHADSS yet, but I doubt it's that shaky in real life and I believe the PNVS display of the actual aircraft does ignore the users uncontrolled micro head movements. Any thoughts about it ?
  10. Exact same issue, worst performance on VR here, which became from playable to unplayable. I run an Oculus Rift S on an RTX 2080Ti.
  11. Hey guys, Some of you may already know me as I've worked on the Apache project for A3 with the rest of my team. I'm currently looking for flying buddies to fly with, already proficient in the usage of the aircraft and ideally familiar with tactics and engagements used by the US Army as I do. I ain't necessarily looking for a squadron, as my real life schedule doesn't make it possible, been there done that in large groups already. Living in Montreal, Canada, I'm GMT+4 so ideally sharing the same time zone or something that could work. I'm comfortable in both PLT & CPG stations and I'm flying exclusively in VR. Worth mentionning that I'm looking to have fun, with a realistic point of view. Map wise, I got Syria, NTTR, Persian Gulf, Marianas and the notorious Caucasus obviously. Looking forward to get to know you guys.
  12. I've finished the campaign in about 2 hours. It was fun ! Any chance you make something similar on Syria ? What is missing on top of the peristence would be voice acting and I'd be sold. I really like the fact the weather including the QNH s generated randomly, at start. Thanks for marking this.
  13. Apparently I have 1.1 and 2.4. So that may be the issue indeed ! I downloaded the mission from ED User Files 3 days ago or so, I thought I was up-to-date. The targets being bugged are T-72 Platoon #1 and #2. Is there a way to keep my progression so I don't have to restart everything ? I also added the FARP you designed previously to my stage_template so could it be an issue as for the persistence if my progression can be restored along the newest version ? 14. Hello there, First of all great work ! I've always dreamed about persistence within DCS. I got a small issue which prevents me to finish the first stage. It appears two of my targets area cannot be completed. Thing is despite finding and destroying one or two targets at each of these zones, I cannot get the trigger. Then if I look for targets within the F10 menu, it gives me the coordinates of the already dead targets (there's nothing left really). Do you think it might be related to ED cook off feature ? Thanks !
  15. Hello there, Small bug, which is self explanatory in the title. The VIDEO MPD rotating button does not rotate unless APU ON when "MPD VIDEO CCW" is binded to your physical Cougar MFDs for instance. Step to reproduce : Get Cougar MFDs Bind "MPD VIDEO CCW Increase" (and Decrease) to two of your Cougar OSBs (such as GAIN) Launch a Cold & Dark flight The VIDEO rotating button shouldn't rotate when activated through your physical Cougar MFD but does rotate if you use your mouse
  16. This. I'm pretty sure you are right. Honestly after an hour or so, I jump from 90 FPS per eye to 10 for no reason which makes it unplayable from time to time. Sometimes it could be even at the begining of some of the premade single player mission made by ED. Exiting to the main menu or exiting the sim does solve the issue. To me it has something to do with a memory leak.
  17. Hey there, aren't the UFC/DEP buttons bindable ? I can't find those in the keybinds settings. Also, I wish it would be possible to disable NWS, it's a pain in the cheek during runups on the brakes where the aircraft tends to slide one way or the other for some reason.
  18. Are you guys still recruting ? I hope I'm not late.
  19. Hello everyone, I recently moved to Canada after a year away from DCS, and I'm now looking for a new milsim squadron to train, scale up and fly with. Before my LOA on DCS, I was pretty active on the sim and also considered creating my own squadron before realizing it would be too much time consuming managing this alone. I'm currently working on resharpening some of my skills on various topics. That said, I already got some materials on my end which I took from declassified pubs, couple ground lessons I wrote, and a dedicated server too which are a legacy of my old squadron project. I'm NOT looking for "half" milsim squadrons, nor "casual" ones full of fantasy in both names & procedures. I totally respect people who like to blow stuff and do whatever they want in the sim but it's simply not my thing. Needless to say, I'd be totally fine dropping a single GBU-31 out of an hour of hold over the AO if you ask me. I'm a real world licensed PPL and I'm looking for serious business with HIGH STANDARDS only. I'm looking for pilots who like to do things by the book, as it should be, and whom find their fun doing so. I'm looking for realism, in various areas : group names, squadron tasks, liveries, line training & procedures. The ideal group I'm looking for, would integrate a proper line training, based on the real world, and would constantly be aiming for improvements and excellence. The picture : Location: Montréal, Quebec, Canada Timezone: EST Setup: HOTAS Warthog, Cougar MFDs x2, Saitek Rudder Pro Tracking Devices: TrackIR 5, Rift S (mainly Rift S) Flight Sim Experience: DCS, XP11, BMS, FSX, P3D Past Squadrons : 476th vFG, 1st VFW, JTF-88 My pros : - Start-up and shutdown by the book, including simulated 4-checks, controls and valve checks, bullseye addition & flight plan, stores setup... - Water OPs : Case I-II-III departures and recoveries, including marshal stacks and push time management - Most brevity code words altough I may need a refresher on some - AAR (RV-Echo) - BFM/ACM (high yoyo, low yoyo, vertical & horizontal scissors, one circle fight vs two circles fight...) - AHC (squirrel cage aka immelman, split S, cuban-8...) - TACFORMs and standard formations (Cruise, Parade, Offensive & Defensive Spread, Fingertip, Fighting Wing, Trail...) - Carrier break & field fan breaks - A2G Marines Strike Patterns aka (Low 10°/ Medium 15°/ High 30 CCIP, Low 10° Pop Up, Med 15° Pop Up) - Most standard & Navy comms (PRI/AUX, 10.000' OPs check, BDC - Battle Damage Checks and all Case related comms that has no alibis to it) - All NTTR instrument & visual departures and recoveries including noise abattement procedures My cons : - Multiple event management including BVR engagements (sorting targets, getting in the merge and avoiding being tumbleweed in no time with multiple elements) - I almost never done a 4-ships mission - BFM/ACM practice and improvement - Antisurface & Strike mission tactics If you think my profile could be a match and a valuable addition to your squadron, please hit me up.
