Greetings. I've been playing through this campaign as of recently and on mission 3, when you're supposed to tune in to 128AM as to listen for Uzi's call near bulls 038 for 32, I got nothing on the radio.

I tried everything mentioned in this thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=142870 and still got nothing on the radio.

After replaying the mission for the 3rd time, time compressing through the flight parts, I managed to find a bunch of soldiers circled on a spot near 038 for 32 and killed whatever was on the treeline attacking them. I figured this could have been a bug, so I just proceeded to confirm Uzi's call and complete the mission appropriately without ever having heard them on the radio.

I'd like to know if this is a bug, if it is on the mission designer's side or ED's side, before I proceed to mission 4, or if it is something I'm doing wrong. If necessary, I managed to save a track, and am providing it below. I purchased and was running the campaign on the Steam version of DCS, which afaik is on par update wise with the current ED store version.

Kind regards.

Thanks, I will have a look as soon as I can (I have a lot of travelling for work ahead). I'll get back to you, will try to check it tonight before I leave. If not, I'll do it ASAP.

Hey Lucas - you are right, the mission is now bugged. The helo when it was hit was scripted to suffer minor damage (strength 15), so it really looked damaged when it had an emergency landing. After the last update anything stronger than str 2 just shreds it to pieces. So in your mission helo was already dead and could not transmit.

I will check whether I should submit an updated version of the mission, or wait for it to be fix. Thanks for letting me know!

I have the same problem with DCS 1.5.5.60565.216, I tried the mission two times.

I tune the ARC-186 radio (top one) manually (MAN) to 128.00 MHz, I've also tried the emergency AM settings. Either way, there is no conversation from Uzi. The radio is on, I used it to communicate with ATC earlier.

No problem to enter the offset coordinates, I see fire exchange when I arrive on the site so I'm pretty sure I'm at the correct location.

I tried the F10 commands (only available once) to ask Uzi for their coordinates, to repeat, to mark the location with smoke, never got any reply from them. The only conversation is from Overlord.

If I do something wrong, I have no idea what. Would it still be the same issue, has a fix been integrated in a DCS update since then, or should I look for it somewhere else?

When I look at the debrief, I see this:

	[67] =
{
	type	=	"pilot dead",
	t	=	29989.001,
	initiatorMissionID	=	"34",
	initiator	=	"Uzi Pilot",
}, -- end of [67]

Note: even though I quit the mission at this point, the result is 60 which makes it pass to the next one, so I had to edit the logbook to put it back.

Hey,

I thought it got fixed, I submitted new version to ED, but I will check again. I think I will completely change the UZI logic then to avoid any problems in the future. Thanks for letting me know.

It can be tricky sometimes, when DCS changes ;)

I've bought it early January so I can't tell when the missions files were last updated. In the mission .miz, files are timestamped 27 December. Not sure it means anything though.

Sounds about right. The mission was relying of making just enough damage for Mi-8 (Uzi) to land with visible damage, but not to be destroyed. After Belsimtek updated the damage model for Mi-8 it just got smashed to pieces. I will update it but it won't be before next Friday until it is reflected in the campaign (for DLCs the only way to update is via the official game ones).

Thanks :)

Don't worry for the delay, no rush there, anyway all campaigns are mostly broken until the other problems are fixed (though I've not experienced these in The Enemy Within so far, fingers crossed). I do hope they finally release a fix next week.

Enjoy TEW! I think I went a long way since on radio quality, number of dialogues etc but it still is quite fun to play :) I return to some of the missions from time to time just for fun :)
