metzger Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) Hi guys, As title says, what are the small numbers next to TDC on the VTB? On the left side is the distance but what are both on the right side? I know they are related to the alltitude but not sure exactly how. Is it alltitude related to my current altitude, for instance -5/10 means the radar scans 500 feet below and 1000 feet above me ? It is strange that it is not mentioned neighter on the manual or in the training missions. Thanks Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk Edited December 4, 2016 by metzger [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RAZBAM_ELMO Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 In the z mode i believe it's the median altitude that you are scanning at. In the other it's the min and max that the radar is scanning at. grunf Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 It shows min and max search cone altitude in 1000ft at the distance of the TDC. It can also show the altitude of the central beam. You can switch between the two modes with the switch on the radar panel labeled S and Z.
