Kusch Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 I'm having issues with mapping rudder controls to my joystick (Warthog). In the menu there is 'rudder left/right' and 'joystick rudder left/right'. I mapped the keys on my joystick to 'joystick rudder'. When I click them in game all I hear is rapid clicking as if a switch is being flicked again and again, but the rudder doesn't move. Z and X keys still control the rudder fine. Any solution? Give me "flying telephone pole" (SA-2)!
grunf Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 I just tried the same setup as you, with my TM T.16000M and it also doesn't work. The rudder left/right keys can't be mapped to joystick buttons, it seems. But can't you assign the rudder to some axis on your throttle? If I'm not mistaken, Warthog has plenty of them. Any slider or even mini joystick should work. Before I got the rudder pedals with toe brakes, I used the joystick on my CH throttle as brakes, using custom curves. 1

Sokol1_br Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 (edited) Warthog don't has exactly plenty of axis, has 5 and 4 already used. :) X, Y on stick, right and left throttle and this slider in right side of base, which result awkward for use as rudder, since require move left hand from throttle, e.g on take-off run. Throttle "TCD" (middle finger) can be used as axis, but this thing is blamed to be imprecise for use... The default keys for rudder in keyboard is Z and X, so rest use TARGET or Joy2Key, XPadder... to make joy buttons e.g. left and right in this HAT on throttle right lever, well accessible to thumb finger use, press this keys. Or the HAT on index finger. Test there with joystick HAT + Joy2Key and work well, at least for take-off run. Edited December 14, 2016 by Sokol1_br 1
