Hi Guys,

 

Hope you had fun play-testing V1.00 of the 1995 Georgian Crisis SU-25T Campaign. Please direct all criticism and feedback of the campaign here so I can collate and use it to improve on V1.01.

I haven't finished your Campaign yet, in fact I've only completed the first mission ... but I didnt want to let too much time pass by without giving at least some feedback ... so, these are my first impressions:

 

a) As it currently stand, the Campaign is actually a series of Missions that follow a given storyline, but the user has to manually select each mission and has to remember at what mission he was the last time he played the Campaign.

 

So, in order to have DCS treat this as a true Campaign, I tried to build the Campaign file myself, like this:

 

 

b) However, in order to advance from one stage to the next, you need to give at the end of the mission "Results points", depending on if the player did or did not meet the Mission goals. Right now, the missions dont give Results Points:

 

 

So, as it currently stands, the player has to play this as a series of separate Missions:

 

 

c) Regarding the missions, I'd say that the story line is well made and triggers along the mission make it develop nicely. However, I did miss more graphic information on the briefing screen.

 

I edited the first Mission to add the minimum: a Map with the Route that the player has to follow:

 

 

So, for a second version of the Campaign I suggest to improve the briefing of each Mission and edit them to assign Mission Goals to each, and if possible assign Result Points at the end: 51 points if the player meet all the Goals, and 50 points if he should replay the Mission.

 

Also, adding Victory and Defeat images on the Campaign file would give a more polished feel to this Campaign.

 

Thanks a lot for sharing this Campaign with us, I'm sure that with more time they can be greatly improved

 

... I've made quite a few missions for myself, but they are more of a training nature, so I haven't thought of sharing them :(

 

... instead I'm documenting my HOTAS profiles and intend to share them as a way to give back to this community :)

Glad that someone is doing a campaign for this aircraft. And I am also looking forward to your A10 Campaign. I will check it out as soon as I have the time.
