mj3437 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 This is not a hardware question. When upgrading MB/CPU is there anything I need to do to my DCS install? Windows and DCS will still be on their own SSD (C drive) Thanks MJ msi Z170A MB, i7-6700k @ 4.0GHz, 32GB DDR4 GeForce GTX 970 4GB, Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB Acer Predator Z271, 650w PSU, Corsair Carbon500R, MS FFB 2
Slick Fork Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 You'll likely need to deactivate them pre hardware swap and then re-activate them with the new stuff.

Yep, I swapped my MB and CPU and forgot to deactivate modules beforehand. Lost an activation from each because of that. Not a big deal, since you get a new one once per month if you run out. It still caused a bit of a hassle as you had to type in the serial numbers again.
