MikeSinn Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Help, something has change either in the last patch or my configuration. Every time I start in the SU-25T, as soon as I I pause and enter the cockpit, my canopy opens. This happens in instant actions and missions. If I start in the air, the canopy tears off, if I start on the ground, my canopy opens and my gear automatically collapse. This only happens in this plane. All other planes and helicopters work fine. I deleted the key and joystick map pings for the canopy open/close but this had no effect. Does anyone else have this issue and a solution?
mkiii Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 If you went as far as deleting the Keystrokes associated with it, and all other inputs then it is a mystery why it might still be doing it. You might get something like this problem if you had an Autostart procedure that was accidebntally being triggered (canopy at least) but the SU25T doesn't have one. I certainly get similar problems in the Mig21 when I flip the wrong switch. Have you checked your Modifiers to make sure something there is not set up incorrectly... sending an errant keystroke or somesuch? Do you have any 3rd party Mods that might be doing weird stuff? Are you using any scripted controllers such as Warthog Target SW or Saitek Profile SW? They can do odd things if the wrong commands are being sent. Especially if your controllers have changed order in the USB list. Have you tried Repair DCS from the start menu? Last resort, delete the SU25t and reinstall it?
PiedDroit Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Before reinstalling, rename your DCS folder in <user>\Saved Games\ DCS will regenerate a fresh one (that you can get rid of afterwards). Then you can decide if your install is corrupted or not: If nothing happens this time, it will be most likely in the inputs - next, restore your renamed DCS folder, and rename the inputs folder for the SU-25T. If you still have the issue, your install has indeed a problem.
MikeSinn Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 mkiii Thanks for the suggestion. Please categorize this as a UTS error (User Too Stupid). I went back and looked at my keyboard mappings and found that my warthog throttle had a open canopy mapped to a switch. :doh: Deleted that and all is working again.
