Multiplayer problem

Hi everyone !

I've had a problem for a long time on DCS : I can't connect to any server like Aerobatics, Open Conflicts, 104th etc...

Let me explain :

I click on the desired server, the loading time is very long and I mustn't click anywhere otherwise the game crashes...

After waiting a long time I get to the planes list, I choose my plane between two freezes, I see the external view before the cockpit and it's always the same issue : back to the server list with the window "Timeout" and the game crashes !

But there is one thing I can't understand : I have no problem to join my squad's dedicated server or a private session by direct IP.

I've already uninstall and repair the game but the problem is still the same.

What's wrong ?

Here is my config :

MSI Z87-G43 with 8go DDR3

Intel Core i5 4670K

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

Thanks in advance for your help.

Did you delete the Eagle Dynamics folder from your C:/Program Files after you uninstalled the game?

If you did not its possible that what ever is causing this issue is still on your system sir.

If I was in your shoes sir, I would try an uninstall again.

Make sure you manually delete the ED folder from the C:\Program Files like I mentioned, then re-install.

Let me know how it goes!

Damn son... what have you done!?

It seems like all roads are now leading to a Hardware issue mate... I'm no expert when it comes to hardware however if its happening on all 3 of the major populated servers then that potentially indicates a hardware problem. Although I'll admit there is a good chance I am wrong here, its just my best guess, the fact that you can join your Squads server is really confusing!

If it was software related a full reinstall should have fixed this as the chances of you downloading a corrupt install more than once is pretty remote.

I'm out of ideas now my friend... I wish I could help fix this for you :(

Thanks

Not sure on this one.

First thing I would do is make sure windows and all device drivers are up to date.

remove any unofficial modifications in DCS and run a repair

remove any scripts from saved games and try running a vanilla install

also are you using trackIR or another tracking alternative?

Thanks for your answer.

I have lanch a windows update session, it has found 3 critical updates that I'm downloading now.

What is an "unofficial modification" for DCS ? Since my reinstall (yesterday) I had just activated the planes and tryed to connect to multi.

I don't have any saved game, only my training missions that I built in the mission editor. What is a "vanilla install" ?

Yes I'm using a TrackIR device. My windows is 7 in 64 bit version and the version 1.5 of DCS
