Anyone knows about this? Can we use it for DCS world?

Gives this a boost to our FPS?

Aahh....just saw it on wiki. It's another API just like mantle for amd - not for DCS.

(Dear Sith, thread can be closed, thanks. I thought it was hot news from Nvidia)

DCS uses only Directx 11 which was a recent upgrade, so you probably shouldn't expect any updates to new GPU APIs anytime soon. Even tho I am very enthusiastic about them, ED put a lot of work for the new engine and DX11 and I don't think they'll want to replace the API so soon. Unless a feature-to-feature move to DX12 from DX11 is relatively moderate without the need to support any new DX12 GFX features or and bigger engine revamps and just reap the performance benefits gained from much lower CPU overhead (which would enable more draw calls), then it might be a chance after like 2-3 years, that is the only thing, but no, Vulkan is another beast altogether, probably no Vulkan.

Yep, Vulkan is very unlikely. I'm teaching myself that API and trust me, even just learning it is no small task. It does offer one hell of a performance boost over DX11 when implemented properly, as demonstrated by the few games with both API's. I know nothing about DX11 and 12 other than it's similar to the relationship between OpenGL and Vulkan. The performance boost so far with DX12 seems to only apply to AMD cards, Nvidia lose performance with it for some reason, at least with the games made so far.
