size of beta

does beta version of 1.5.x include whole package, i.e. if I install it - will it share common files with official release version, or will be sitting next to it with more-or-less same size (terrain, models....)

It's a separate, independent install, pretty much the same size as stable release (38GB for me).

 

But updates will take advantage of the other versions installed, i.e. updater will copy some files from the other version if you've previously updated it.
