Buzzles Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) Read the manual :) Hint: Page 46 tells you what it is and does. Edited February 11, 2017 by Buzzles Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
Frederf Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 It's either a single layer (or, less likely a dual layer which would act as a dimmer) polarization filter over the radar screen. Reflections tend to have a strong polarization component and aligning a polarized sheet can selectively absorb light from the reflection with minimal impact on the radar screen picture coming through so it's easier to read. http://www.wildernessshots.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/polarizer-filter-cuts-through-reflection-on-water.jpg
