Its kinda hilarious that something like DCS doesnt support proximity fuzes. :D Lots of thing ain't modeled or simulated in DCS. Ie. Radars and IFF are one of those. You can as well wonder how since begin of KA-50 module we have been asking a proximity fuze for Vikhr missiles so we can start using then in AA mode.... The ain't as well fragmentation modeling, rendering every bomb and rocket and missile far far less effective that those should be. In DCS that comes to flying and cockpits, everything is great. Hmm, I know there is stuff missing, but in comparison to ECM, Radar, IFF, and kinda a better damage model for ground vehicles especially, proximity fuzes are a pretty trivial thing to model for ED. well I guess we wait. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] *unexpected flight behaviour* Oh shiii*** ! Like the proximity fuses so radius is checked with +-15% accuracy to specs and then just blow the missile. But it would require fragmentation modeling, let's it be like a 1000 pieces to every direction and then just calculate range and spread and put it all to range for damage amount. But then you notice that every model needs a new damage modeling so every 20-50cm square area (50x50cm) is checked and modeled separately etc. And quickly you notice you are in limits of engine capabilities without rewrite.
