Tango777 Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I accidentally ran across a youtube video of the DCS Black Shark 2 and I noticed that whoever was flying it had an English cockpit. Now I know that there have been discussions here about a translated cockpit for the Viggen so that it would be in English. Any update on that front so far? i7-13700F - 32GB DDR5 RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060Ti 16GB - 2TB NVMe SSD - Windows 11

Tango777 Posted February 23, 2017 Author Posted February 23, 2017 Thanks guys for this. I am new to DCS, so could someone please post a link that has installation instructions for installing the English cockpit? I read the readme from the Viggen cockpit English mod and it says to use JSGME Install method #1. I do not know what this is. In the zip file, there isn't anything named JSGME. Thank you for the help! i7-13700F - 32GB DDR5 RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060Ti 16GB - 2TB NVMe SSD - Windows 11
Rudel_chw Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Thanks guys for this. I am new to DCS, so could someone please post a link that has installation instructions for installing the English cockpit? A Mod is nothing more than replacement or additional files for the game. You could just uncompress the ZIP and then manually copy the files to their corresponding folder within the game file tree. I read the readme from the Viggen cockpit English mod and it says to use JSGME Install method #1. I do not know what this is. In the zip file, there isn't anything named JSGME. Most people dont do the manual installation that I mentioned above, because most likely the files changed will be lost if you later on upgrade the game ... and DCS gets upgraded often. Since it would be a pain to be manually copying the cockpit files again after every game update, most people uses an Utility to automate this file copy process. The most well known utility for this is JSGME, and here is a thread that shows how it's used: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607 The only downside of JSGME is that its an old utility currently with no support from its creator; so I currently use a newer utility for the same purpose (manage Mods) called OvGME. I wrote a small Guide for it, on this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=182827 Cheers! Enter "Devrim..." folder, copy "Mods" folder into your "DCS World" folder. Overwrite and have fun. Attention: If you don't take backup stock files, you may not uninstall this mod. Only way could be "Repair"ing DCS World. I know selecting target files piece by piece and copying them another place is pain in the azz. That's why we (mod lovers!) mostly use applications like JSGME or OvGME. Hey. Let's try OvGME. :) Intel i7-14700@5.6GHz | MSI RTX4080 SuperSuprimX | Corsair V. 64GB@6400MHz. | Samsung 1TB 990 PRO SSD (Win10Homex64) Samsung G5 32" + Samsung 18" + 2x8"TFT Displays | TM Warthog Stick w/AVA Base | VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle | TM MFD Cougars | Logitech G13, G230, G510, PZ55 & Farming Sim Panel | TIR5 & M.Quest3 VR >>MY MODS<< | Discord: Devrim#1068
Rudel_chw Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Hey. Rudel's app looks like great one... Actually, the App (OvGME) was programmed by Sedenion ... I just tried to explain its use with an illustrated Guide :) For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
