My DCS Wishlist 2/5: Random mission start time, date and weather

Hello everyone, here is one of my wishes/suggestions for DCS World:

 

Could there be "Random mission start time", "Random date" and "Random weather" checkboxes while selecing a mission? Once selected, during loading a mission, the mission start time and/or date and/or weather would be generated randomly each time, based on

parameters set in mission editor. Of course, there need to be actual mission start time and meteo info in briefing window before mission starts.

 

Point is, if you have your favourite mission you fly more often, it could always be a bit different. Of course, you can edit start time, season and weather in Mission editor before each start even now, but then there is no randomness, no surprise. If it would be generated randomly, you have to cope with what would come.

 

In ME you could choose if you want this features for your mission file at all. If yes:

- For random mission start time, you could just set the time interval you want system to select from. So you could set 00:00-23:59 if you want it completelly random, or lets say 10:00-16:00 for mission during day or 21:00-05:00 for night. Of course, there have to be some default time set, if user of your mission do not want to use random mission start feature.

- For random date it would be similar. You would set default date for mission and then set interval, from wich system generates. By setting interval you could choose just winter, just warm months, or all year.

- For random weather it would be more complicated, but again similar. You could set minimum/maximum parameters for wind speed and direction, temperature, cloud cover, base and thickness, general visibility, fog, etc. By setting those minimums/maximums you could have different weather each time, but still have some control o fit (not to exceed croswind limit for example). And again, there have to be deafult weather set for those, who doesn´t want to generate it randomly.

can we get like a poll for feature requests. I'm not sure how hard this would be to do for ED, but seems like a somewhat simple tweak to the code to put together.
