MS FF Sidewinder 2 Problem - Buzzing Noise

Hi all,

 

I have a MS FF Sidewinder 2 for a long time now, probably 15 years. I know it is a lot of use, it was the time where they did things to last and not to profit.

 

So... Lately I've been having this type of buzzing noise when the joystick is in some neutral position, does anyone have experience this problem?

 

If so, did you manage to fix it?

 

I never open my joystick, and it is working pretty well, but this sound is just annoying.

I have one of those myself, could well also be 15y + LoL like their Wheel, you cannot break it :)

 

 

Dunno, open the case and clean it is my guess. Use some electric cleaner spray can that you get at specialized electronic stores. I always you those:

Rinse it...let it dry up to 3-5 days...enjoy.... I once spilled a hot coffee with milk and sugar all over my 2600k and 980GTX....it all survived and never was as clean as after having it cleaned with those cans.

 

 

I still have those cans, if you need the specific model/type I can have a look as they have a lot of cans to choose from :)

Kontakt-LR 200ml is what I used, 2 cans are plenty for a PC drowned all over in Coffee.

 

 

For a stick, 1 can is more than plenty
