So I'm in the first steps of setting up the software for a new controller box I've built. I already have the matrix built and the buttons wired now I'm programming it using MMJOY. I've told MMJoy that button 41 from the matrix will be button 41 in the output as well as 1, 2, & 3. Thats all. I'll program the rest in time. However when I pull up windows game controller settings it only list the buttons up to button 32. Which is a little concerning. Will windows support a 41 input controller? Also of note the last 12 inputs are actually encoders. Hopefully I made sense in this post haha

This is normal, Windows see only 32 buttons.

So ignore the Windows applet - no reason for use this for anything - and use VKB Button Tester in MMjoySetup interface, this is able to see up to 128 buttons.

In DCSW controls you can use up to 128 buttons - even if Windows don't see then - in IL-2:BoS you can use up to 64.

Old games use Windows limit of 32, example IL-2:1946, SF2... so for use the buttons above 32 in that games is need use a keymapper for translate that "invisible" buttons in key press, example, Joy2Key, SVMapper, XPadder, HIDMacros, AutoHotKey.
