F86 module stops working

I am trying to track down if my problem is my computer, my WH HOTAS Homefries profile or the F86 module itself.

 

During a flight, the module stops working and neither the keyboard nor the Hotas will respond and I have to use the task manager to back out. This seems to be a recent development and only in the F86 module.

 

Any suggestions?
