Would someone be able to give me a short tutorial about the sdef files and what their contents mean? I've been trying to create sounds for an F/A-18 mod.

The sdef files include:

inner_radius

outer_radius

cone_inner_angle

cone_outer_angle

etc.

Thanks.

The sdef files include: "Pretty straight Forward"

#1 inner_radius "The radius in wich the sound comes Within"

#2 outer_radius "The radius of the outer Sound "

#3 cone_inner_angle "How Spread out the sounds is Within" .

"Depending on position"

cone_outer_angle " How Spread out the sound is Outside it self"

"Depending on Position"

etc.

GAin " This is the level of the sound Volume"

Example 0.1 give it a 0.5 and you have more volume on that sound.

Anymore questions ask.:thumbup:

Thanks for the reply

There are some more:

Direction = {0,0,1}

Attack = 2

Release = 4

One sdef in particular and I don't know if any other have this, Su27AroundEngine2 has two gains and they have different values. Hopefully you can explain this.

i have never worked with su 27 sounds only su-25 due to the fact that its default on mods at least on my Pak Fa,anyway i went and had a look at the su-27 enginearound 2 sound and yes it has 2 gains, seems like one gain is to control the sound volume when you are close to the plane and the other the gain volume at far,like if you zoom in to it and get away from it,i noticed a slight dif in sound volume when i altered the gain levels.

Direction = {0,0,1} IN wich direction the sound is starting from/coming from.

These two i have never worked with so i cant help you there.,but i will take a look at the sounds with these settings and see if i find any diferences.

Attack = 2

Release = 4
