Over heating 1.5.6

So i tend to over heat the spitfire breaks on, Then burn her out i get the effects of over heating, Its ok in 2.0 but this has gone in 1.5.6

I find the engine temps well over 100 if rad shutters are in auto? If I place rad shutters "open" the temp stays below 90. This with combat settings, for me at 2800rpm and boost at about 8/10.

 

So I don't use the auto setting?

 

However, in my last video, I got bullet holes in my starboard radiator and two minutes later the Merlin seized. But not before large plumes​ of white "steam" poured out.....quite good damage modelling there, I thought?

 

However, I think the auto rad setting is out a bit!

What i mean is the smoke/steam effect seen here is not in 1.5.6 beta when you do the same thing in 2.0

There's been a bug in 1.5 since a patch or two ago where you can't see any smoke effects on your own aircraft from inside the cockpit. Very noticeable in multiplayer where everyone can see you venting but you don't see a thing.

Yea i cant see it in F2 either.

If it's the same bug I've no idea if it's visible in F2 as the multiplayer servers I play on don't have outside views (hence why I said from the cockpit). Have you checked to see if another player sitting in another aircraft can see you venting? If it's the same bug then they will see it but you wont. This bug doesn't just effect venting water but all smoke effects.
