hey there,

I am relatively new to DCS, only about 50 hours or so, and I love the P51 so I bought the high stakes campaign and whilst I know how to get the plane up and fly around I can't work out how to use navigation on this plane.

On the first mission i had to switch between F10 for map and F1 way too often, and the kneeboard map doesn't give me enough detail for me to work out where i am and if I'm on the right heading (as it's only a map and lacks your current location to help). F10 shows you your current location without the way points other than trying to look at visual points and suss it out myself.

Are there any hints to make following way points easier? Does the P51 give your directional way points to follow?

When you're looking at your kneeboard map, hit RCtrl + K (Kneeboard Current Position Mark Point), or even better map it to your HOTAS (you'll use it a lot). It shows your exact position and directional heading.

Rig: i7-6850K, Sapphire 6900XT, 32GB RAM, Asus X99-Pro board.  Gear: VPC WarBRD/MongoosT-50 Stick, VPC MongoosMT-50 Throttle, VKB T-Rudders Mk.IV Pedals, HP Reverb G2.
