AoS_Nexus Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Hi, i'm Alex, callsign "Nexus" and i'm searching for a DCS 2.1 Multiplayer server with live ATC (a human at the radio is awesome). Here are my qualifications on the planes i have : > A-10C : Level : Good Status : Still learning to master it > F-5E : Level : Good Status : Discovering it > P-51D : Level : Good Status : Still learning to land perfectly > F/A-18C : Level : Excellent Status : Waiting for the release I learned on the simulator called "F/A-18 Hornet" back in '96 on a MAC LC-630, then on "Superhornet" on PC, and finally on FSX with the VRS F/A-18E Superbug. I got the NATOPS and i'm waiting for ED to release his beauty to fly the only plane i really know. I'm a real Hornet addict. For now, i'm searching for a server with some free flight and good people to learn from, a live human ATC would be great because it adds some realism. I don't fly the actual Hornet mod because i prefer very realistic planes but i don't mind if other people fly it, i'm not an elitist, just a simer. My english level is good, i can hide my horrible french accent if we are doing some military / flying oriented communications. IRL i fly a french DR-400 plane in my town and my instructor tells me i need to practice more on that, that's why i'm searching for a live ATC to talk with. Oscar Juliet Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185281&page=11 https://www.pilotedge.net/ We have a server for 2.1 and 1.5. Its a coop server. No live ATC but we use SRS radio when online. Right now 2.1 is a bit unstable so most of us are on 1.5 Pilot Edge was experimenting with DCS world on Nevada. They offer live ATC servers just like VATSIM or IVAO but the difference is that Pilot Edge pays their ATC and hires former, current ATC controllers. Many real world pilot's use this as an opportunity to learn better ATC communications. There is a 2 week free trial then you must pay for the service. Why pay for it? Because they are top notch and always available during business hours. Look into it. I think its what you need or want. You could even fly your super hornet on it with P3D or FSX. My Youtube Channel

NeilWillis Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Another one worth investigating as it is on European time, is RAF Air UK. It's a fairly low key, informal organisation, with a dedicated server running all 3 current versions of DCS World. The server is based on a super highway in Germany, so we get excellent ping rates. The server is open to public access 24/7 except when we fly closed missions Tuesday and Thursday evenings. We will soon be running an Operational Conversion Unit type training course (for the Mirage and A-10C initially), which may add another aspect well worth trying. All are welcome to join us. Our website is http://www.rafairuk.co.uk which will provide all the info you need to get started.
AoS_Nexus Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 Thanks NeilWillis, indeed a good ping is welcome :) do you allow "free" flight for communications and training?
