  1. I was crashing constantly with the latest OB update. I'm updating to v21. I only use this mod and improved dot spotting mod. I even redid my graphics drivers and everything. I really hope this fixes it. EDIT: -Multithreading is not happy with my system as the latest OB update. I've done a bunch of troubleshooting. I played non MT and had no issues. I turned on this mod and it crashes randomly and inconsistently when weapons impact targets. Can't pin it down. No other mods.
  2. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm in Texas, buddy in Arizona. He has a second gaming rig he hosts DCS server on. We use it to play liberation. We both jump into the server, slot into F18s on the super carrier. I can startup and start to taxi. That is usually about the time I disconnect. A few times I've made it to hook up for launch and get disconnected. Nothing appears in the logs and nothing other than the generic disconnect message. It can happen over and over. I can jump into hoggit training and get in the air no issue. It points that there is a server problem with my buddy. Yet the other pilots are not being ejected. The usual number of pilots are 2-4. So it isn't player overload. We've had even the largest liberation maps work flawless. I don't know if it is DCS related or internet. I ran ping tests today. 6p-12a during peak hours for most customers on at the same time. 0% packet loss. A guy in the DCS discord suggests disabling IPV6 and I'm not sure why. Hopefully enough people chime in they can find a solution. I don't think there is any protection for any kind of loss. You either have perfect connection or you get dropped. This is all over my head. I have cable internet, I'm wired into my box, 105mbps internet.
  3. Sounds good! Got a buddy who is tempted to get the G2. Just PM me when you're ready to go.
  4. A bump, since it got moved to a new location. I've helped many pilots in the past and love to teach. I recently watched spudknocker for the first time. I teach in a similar manner. Casual, fun, and I'm very patient with people.
  5. Back in 2016 I started a thread to help teach other pilots the basics of the A10c. I had put it off for a long time and thought it was impossible to learn such an aircraft. I thought my flight equipment wasn’t good enough and I thought I couldn’t possibly learn it on my own. I dedicated two weeks to training missions and A10c online videos. I learned the aircraft and started to teach others. I was a member of the 107th with the Through the Inferno servers. I led the A10c flight, Pandion, for almost a year. I ended up getting burnt out from DCS. I came back to fly the A10c II and I’m not disappointed. I enjoy it very much and picked it all back up quickly. The A10c II is one of my favorite aircraft and I want to help make it one of your favorite. GETTING STARTED: IL2 Cliffs of Dover was where I learned how to fly in a sim environment. I quickly ended up on DCS with the F15c. I destroyed myself many times while trying to master basic flight. I want to teach you how to destroy things with the A10c and be an effective pilot. All I ask is that you have some experience flying sim aircraft so we can focus on the harder stuff. If you can fly, but are new to the A10c or combat aircraft in general, start with Chucks Guide. This will familiarize you with the A10c. Try to bind your keys to match the real A10c HOTAS as much as possible. That way if you buy new equipment, you can change out the key binds and still keep most of your muscle memory. Make sure you memorize your key binds. The major ones are TMS, DMS, CMS, Coolie Hat, China Hat, Boat Switch, Pinkie Switch, and Mic Switch. If you forget a control, someone can call it out, and you’ll know which button to push. If all else fails, get on youtube and start watching videos until something makes sense. Try to learn one thing at a time. Take notes on things you fail and specifically learn how to fix them. TACVIEW will help you get another point of view on your situation and what went wrong or right. WHAT NEXT?: So you can fly a plane and you’ve got your HOTAS setup. Now it is time to learn how to deploy basic weapons. Learn how to fire the D model maverick, the GBU-12, and GBU-38 at minimum. This will give you some foundation to build on when we fly together. If you take a moment to learn the basics of the editor, you can make some basic training missions. Otherwise I’ve linked my training mission here. If you have any issues learning these, I can help teach you. There are some great tutorials out there but sometimes you just need some extra help. That is what I'm here for. My training mission has slots for the A10c II, A10c, and A10a. You start at Batumi and the small training airfield North of Batumi is the target area. The mission brief explains the rest. If you can survive that mission, you’re ahead of the game. We will use that mission for a lot of the training. It is subject to change and updates. Surrounded is a DCS mission. I’ve modified it for slots for the A10c II, A10c, and A10a. If you can do this mission you have situational awareness. This is the hardest mission for a new pilot to do. You have to find targets, which are called out to you. There is a friendly force at a T intersection. They tell you which direction the enemy is approaching from. You need to kill that enemy before they reach the friendly forces. If you can do this mission with ease, you’re just about ready for anything. Ready?: If you’ve read this far, then you’re ready to get some help. Reply or send me a PM. I’ll get with you as soon as I can. USA central time
  6. Any negative discussion is usually met with swift punishment. As a community we should be able to voice ourselves accordingly. Eagle Dynamics should desire to make something better based on community feedback. The online community is huge and does continue to grow. I was a flight lead and mission dev for Through The Inferno for a year. I resigned because of the lack of online support from Eagle Dynamics. The online has significant flaws that need to be addressed. There is only so much development work that a server owner can do on this platform. There are still significant issues with lag, performance, and hosting. None of which can be solved by a server owner. Through The Inferno has done a great job over the last two years working on ways to solve issues. Without proper dedicated multiplayer support from Eagle Dynamics the online portion is doomed. I will never buy another product from Eagle Dynamics until they show some sort of good faith they will be fixing those issues. I don't play games solo. I play online with people I know. 1.5.7 was the last time I ever enjoyed DCS online.
  7. A tip i always give is tap the lock button once every second. It will lock at the maximum range if you have it. If not it usually pilot error.
  8. There a new problem. In MP only the host can see certain ground units.
  9. I always use guns against ZU-23 threats. 2nm ish range. Small burst and its gone.
  10. You're a bit late to the 'party' No they don't work anymore. None of them and no the people can't fix them or update them to make them work.
  11. My ticket with ED auto-closed itself. I'm not sure the status of the situation. I've personally not seen it since. Though that doesn't mean it still can't happen. We've done a lot of work on figuring out how to bypass the spawn lag and what not on our server. Maybe our tactics have helped remedy other issues. Either way I hope they use all I gave them to work on the issue. If it comes up again and I have logs, files, ect I will resubmit that information.
  12. Probably not. It works on 1.5 and 2.1 keeps getting new updates. So it has to be annoying to constantly fix 2.1 stuff.
