I was trying to re-color the rocket pods to Compass Grey to better match my USN/USMC skins, and when I added the following line:

{"Material #713", 0, "arak m70b_diffuse_USMC", true};

I would get the following result:

Upon further review, the Mat Name "Material #713" is used both for the ARAK M70B Rocket Pod and the canopy glass, with "f4u_glass" as the default texture.

 

Any chance of separating these mat names so skinners can re-skin the rocket pod without affecting the canopy transparency?

Thanks for the quick reply, Cobra.

 

Do you have a timeline for implementing the fix, i.e. is it an easy fix that should be in the next build, or a low priority bug that may take time? The reason I ask is because the answer determines whether I should just release my skin packs now and update them in the future, or whether it is worth holding out for the fix.

Hi Cobra, this is still not fixed in latest 2.2

I need this fix to release my training weapons skins;)
